Species Name: Xyloids

Appearance: The Xyloids are small, blue-skinned insectoid beings with compact bodies and two arms ending in nimble hands. Their skin has a slight sheen to it under the right lighting conditions, giving them an ethereal appearance.

Self-Designation: They refer to themselves as "Xyloi," which translates to "Wise Ones" in their language, reflecting their innate psionic abilities and deep connection to their world.

V'hanian Designation: The V’hanians refer to them as "Kleeblins," a derogatory term meaning "Little Blue Insects."

Ecology: Xyloids inhabit lush, forested worlds teeming with diverse plant life. They are omnivores and primarily consume a variety of fruits, roots, insects, and small animals. Their bodies contain a symbiotic microorganism that enables them to extract nutrients from cellulose-rich plants, making their diet rich in essential minerals and fiber.

Personality/Motivation: Xyloids are known for their wisdom, curiosity, and adaptability. They have a strong affinity towards nature and deep respect for all living beings. Their innate psionic abilities often manifest as telepathy, allowing them to form powerful mental connections with their environment and other creatures.

Power/Tactics: Xyloids' psionic powers enable them to communicate telepathically, manipulate the elements (earth, air, water, and fire), and sense emotions in others. They can utilize these abilities both defensively and offensively, depending on the situation. Xyloid warriors have been known to form groups, using their combined powers for powerful coordinated attacks against enemies.
