PRIMUS - Albuquerque NM Field Office (AFO)

Why Albuquerque NM?

PRIMUS has a significant field office in Albuquerque NM.  There are five reasons why there is a field office in Albuquerque NM.

  1. Sandia Laboratories is a DOE facility that is involved in cutting-edge research and development.
  2. Kirtland Air Force Base is the base that contains Sandia Laboratories.  It is also a site where research & development of high-energy weapons is an ongoing concern for the USAF.
  3. Los Alamos National Laboratory is involved in Nuclear Deterrence and Stockpile Stewardship, Protecting Against Nuclear Threats, Emerging Threats and Opportunities, and Energy Security Solutions.
  4. Burning Sands (see 1970s Government)
  5. Stronghold is used to imprison convicted supervillains (see The Modern Era (1960-1990+))

Silver Avenger:

The PRIMUS Albuquerque NM Field Office (AFO) is led by Rachel Rojas.  As with all PRIMUS field offices, the person in charge is a Silver Avenger.  Ms. Rojas has been part of PRIMUS since 1996.  In 2005 she was tested with Cyberline to see if she would be a good candidate as a Gold or Silver Avenger.  The tests were positive and she received a full dose of Cyberline.

Liaison with Supers

Donald Shoemaker is the liaison agent assigned to work with supers in the Albuquerque Field Office (AFO).  Agent Shoemaker was in line to take the Cyberline when he was involved in an accident that has left him paralyzed from the waist down.  He uses a high-tech hover chair that allows him to get where ever he needs to go.

Quartermaster

Every field office has a quartermaster and the AFO field office is no different.  Sgt. Andy Micklin was recruited after he served in the Army after Desert Storm.  People either call him Sgt or Micklin.  He can remember where every piece of equipment is in the warehouse or who has it checked out.  He typically can be found smoking/chomping on a cigar (against regulations) and chewing out someone for bringing back "his" equipment in less than perfect condition.
